Transformad attends the 13th edition of SICAM, in Pordenone
The international fair of components, accessories and semi-finished products for the furniture industry took place from 18 to 21 October
Transformad has visited SICAM, the long-awaited professional meeting of furniture component manufacturers, which meets once a year in Pordenone, Italy. The 13th edition of this international event has brought together the most qualified professionals in international furniture with a continuously growing number of visitors: more than 8,000 visiting companies from 115 different countries around the world. In this edition, everything has revolved around the evocation of nature, the interest in sustainability and the desire to bring out visual, touch and design. One more year, matte finish continues to set the trend for surfaces. The fair has been dyed with natural colors, in what refers to wood and soft stones. The main tone has been Forest green, questioning the foliage of the large wooded areas. It is an inspiring tone that fills any space with air and oxygen. Natural reddish, brown, and ocher tones have also stood out, very autumnal, but alive. Among the classic tones, the black/white binomial and the warm and luminous beige and cream neutrals never go out of style.Manufacturers have opted for creativity seeking to surprise the visitor, exposing their novelties in a resounding and increasingly greener and more sustainable way. Flat surfaces are modeled with linear reliefs, most of them straight, but also rounded and irregular. The stripes and the slats create very deep and marked homogeneous wefts and, in turn, with optical effects and simulated perspective.
