Transformad visits the Salone del Mobile in Milan in its most sustainable edition
From June 7 to 12, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, one of the most important furniture fairs in the world took place in the Italian city
Transformad has attended as a visitor the 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile, one of the most important furniture fairs in the world, from June 7 to 12 in Milan. The leading company in HiTech surfaces has taken advantage of the visit to the fair to learn first-hand about the new trends in interior design and the latest innovations in the field of sustainability.
After two years of absence due to the pandemic, the Salone del Mobile reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development, both environmental and social, in the entire interior design system. For this reason, the management of the fair have been suggested some ecological guidelines to exhibitors: use of reusable or recycled materials, with low environmental impact or FSC or PEFC certified, use of sustainable supply sources, and attention to waste and reuse. In addition, the fair’s adherence to the UN Global Compact has been announced to help build a healthy and responsible society.
In the same context, other meetings have also been taken up within the framework of the fair, such as the edition of the EuroCucina biennials, its parallel event FTK (Technology for the Kitchen) and the International Bathroom Fair. More than 2,175 exhibitors who have contributed to generating business opportunities and creative tours, in an edition where design has definitively put the human being and nature at the center.
